Lyn Armitage Art – A Leicestershire Artist
Hello and welcome to my website! Here you will be able to find out about the paintings and cards I make and a little more about me and my art – what interests me and the style of art I do, as well what it means to me to be a Leicestershire artist.
Having produced my own art work for many years, I love developing different styles of art, but in particular watercolour painting is a favourite of mine. A lot of my art work and painting is around nature, creating landscapes, animals, birds and flowers, and additional to this I create more quirky pieces (initially inspired by my daughter’s home in London!) in a very different, brightly coloured style. Learning and developing a new style or technique of painting is something I will never tire of.
During 2014 I have been proud to be accepted as a member of The Birmingham Watercolour Society, The Leicester Sketch Club and The Society of Floral Painters, three great groups in the art world who I’m really excited to hopefully exhibit with in the future.
Recently I have created bespoke paintings commissioned by individuals, and if you would like to discuss a painting you might like created – I would love to speak with you and see how I can make your art idea a reality.
Teaching Art in Leicestershire
Painting and artistic creativity has been in my life for as long as I can remember. Coupled with my background in teaching art for over 20 years I set up and began to run two types of art training- classes and workshops-which I’m really pleased have proved popular with local Leicestershire artists.
You can find out more about the short art classes and full-day art workshops I run in Leicestershire to help develop art skills, and if you are interested to find out more, please do message me to see how my courses can help.
A busy (arty) bee…
I like to keep a regularly updated art blog about what I’ve been up to in and around Leicestershire (as well as further afield from time to time) – events and exhibitions I have coming up, useful information, hints & tips, and general musings about the art world – so do come and visit frequently, and for more day-to-day updates, check out my Twitter and Facebook pages.
